LIVING IN DIVINE HEALTH

This August 2010 I will be celebrating 30 years of divine health! Allow me to qualify that statement; this doesn’t mean that I haven’t had the opportunity to become sick in those 30 years; it only means that I have believed the Word of God concerning health and have had success at resisting the devil in the area of sickness and disease. I have always received my healing! Sometimes instantly, as was the case when I had a terrible headache one day, and then sometimes it would take me a while, like when I was putting blood through my bowel and when I was resisting arthritis. In these particular instances it took me over a year to resist these symptoms and yet I would wake up one day and notice that every symptom would be gone, glory to Jesus.

The Bible declares that Jesus took stripes upon his back so that we could be healed, Isaiah 53:5, and 1 Peter 2:24. God is as much concerned about our physical body as he is about our spiritual redemption. He sent Jesus to the whipping post as our substitute in order that we might be partakers of his divine health. The New Testament Jesus is as much a healer as he is a Savior. The Bible proclaims that He is the same yesterday, today and forever, Hebrews 13:8.

The same Grace that provided the born-again experience for my spirit man is the same Grace that provided healing for my physical body. HE THAT SPARED NOT HIS OWN SON, BUT DELIVERED HIM UP FOR US ALL, HOW SHALL HE NOT WITH HIM ALSO FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS, ROMANS 8:32

Some might think that to enjoy the blessing of divine health you must attain to some conscious state of super spiritualism but that’s not true. All that’s necessary is to believe in the finished work of the cross and realize that Jesus paid it all, and all includes divine health!

Sure, you are going to have to submit yourself unto God and resist the devil. As Christians we understand this in the area of temptation to sin, but resisting the devil in the area of physical symptoms and infirmity will do the same thing; it will run the devil and his disease far from you! You may not have thought about it this way, but anytime you take an aspirin or go to the doctor you are resisting sickness and that’s ok. We are certainly not against doctors. There are things we can do in the natural to try and get well and we should do them, but God wants us to understand that through Jesus, He has redeemed us from the curse of sin and death and now as his children we have authority over all the power of the enemy, and that includes sickness!

I have come to learn that according to Gods word I am just as healed as I am saved. As a matter of fact I stay healed all the time; it’s called living in divine health, or one might say I am living in the blessing of redemption that includes divine health. But, what if sickness or disease tries to seize control of my body and overpower it? I just simply resist it in Jesus name! You might ask how long do you resist the sickness? Until all the symptoms leave my body and my body has taken its rightful position in the Grace of God, which declares, that, “BY HIS STRIPES I AM HEALED”. Next post I will talk more about, “how to” resist the devil in the area of sickness.

THE WITNESS

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about being born-again. It’s the most amazing thing to know that you have access to Gods best all because of one person, Christ Jesus. It’s still a wonder to me why God loves me and yet He does, dare any of us to think that we are beyond being reached by the love of God.

Some look for evidence of Gods existence, they need to look no further than the cross. Here we see the full measure of Gods love demonstrated for man in one act of forgiveness that surpasses any sign one could be looking for from heaven. One only has to believe the simple message of the gospel to receive witness in himself of a risen saviour.

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself, 1 John 5:10. We simply believe and God supplies the life “which by the way is the witness”. He that hath the son hath life, 1 John 5:12. Though it’s true to become a Christian you must believe in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus, but once you believe you receive the reality of a risen Christ living within you!

ETERNAL LIFE - This Treasure in Earthen Vessels!

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard,
Which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked
Upon, of the Word of life;

(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear
witness, and shew unto you that ETERNAL LIFE, which
Was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 1 John 1:1—3.

Have you ever thought about the difference between Eternal Life and living forever? There is a difference, all of us are going to live forever somewhere, either in heaven or in hell the choice is ours. Only those who...

THE GREAT TREASURE HUNT!

Over the years listening to people talk I have noticed that many people have a very negative view of what they think that God thinks about them. Corrupt human reasoning has persuaded mankind to think that God is out to get them for something they have done. After all don’t we attribute almost every natural disaster to an “act of God”? Yet the bible is very clear on the subject, Romans 8:19-22 tells us that natural disaster is...

New Creation Exploration, THE CANDLE

It has always amazed me the simplicity with which Jesus taught. He always used something that was relevant to every generation in order to convey his message and thought. Such is the case with the candle in Mark 4:21.

And he said unto them, IS A CANDLE BROUGHT TO BE PUT UNDER A BUSHEL, OR UNDER A BED? AND NOT TO BE SET ON A CANDLESTICK?

The only reason that anyone would bring a candle into a dark room, would be," TO LIGHT THE ROOM", and once the room is illuminated by the candle,...

New Creation Exploring

Greetings and welcome to New Creation. Wow It's a new year and I am looking forward to all that God has in store for us. There is something exciting about a new beginning or getting something new, have you ever received an unexpected package in the mail or a gift from a friend, what a feeling of anticipation as you begin to open the package to explore it's content. That's the way I want to approach this new year, as a new opportunity to learn and explore the kingdom of God and all of its glory.

The possibilities that exist for us in God are limitless. There is a whole new realm of creation to be explored by Gods children, which for the most part...
